Training
Our department is committed to professionalism and training to ensure that our officers meet the high standards of our community.
The following Training at a minimum is required of all Auxiliary Officers:

-
First Responder
-
CPR / Defibrillator
-
OC / Defensive tactics
-
Traffic and Pedestrian Control
-
Anti-Terrorism training

Yearly in-service is also required for many of these classes.

In addition to the above training, Auxiliary Officers must also participate in a 3 month ride-along with senior Auxiliary officers being uniformed. This can be done in parallel with the classroom training.

After one year, officers are eligible to request attending the Reserve/Intermittent Police Academy. Attendance at this academy is dependent upon Department sponsorship, good standing with the department and availability in the actual class.
